Gat

A slower way to discover Korea.

Joseon Yangban takes its name from the yangban, the aristocratic class of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910). Though the class system is long gone, Koreans still say someone is "like a yangban" when describing a person who is gracious, unhurried, and composed.

In a world where extreme efficiency and speed have become virtues, Joseon Yangban recalls the Korean yangban spirit, a life lived with refinement, leisure, and aesthetic pleasure.

We share stories of people who create their own domains at their own pace. And through this space, we hope to quietly comfort someone's day.

We host small cultural experiences inspired by the stories we share, rooted in Korean craft and tradition. Have questions or looking for private bookings? Feel free to reach out to us via DM or Email.

Artisan Encounters

We're building relationships with master artisans across Korea to open doors to workshops and experiences that are rarely available to international visitors.

If there's a craft or artisan you'd love to experience, send us a message on Instagram or TikTok. If enough people are interested, we'll do our best to make it happen.
